May 23, 07 - 6:19 AM The Clone Ranger...
If anyone cares there is once again someone else posting under my nom-de-web at the ew.com board this morning. Apparently I ****** off someone but good yesterday. I can't imagine how. I've got the list of suspects narrowed down to about 6 dozen or so.
Memo to self: No more posting on the ew board.

Well, Barnum, there is that "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" cliche. Maybe you've found a recruit who admires you so much, he has become you. Or maybe you've just ****** someone off.

so barnum...is the post about a sucker being born every minute your post?
i love how you stir the pot, intentionally or not.

LB - The sucker quote is from Barnum, the original Phineas Taylor (just remember that every time you go to the circus). Our Barnum justs seems to agree with the philosophy.

I too love Big B's take on the show. You keep me honest when it comes to the "genius" of the show.
I'll never understand why the EW board reacts SO immaturely when anyone disagrees with the assertion that Lost is "perfect". It's not. There are flaws and anyone looking at it through honest eyes can see them. Doesn't mean that it's any less fun to watch. Even Barnum is still watching...
Silly EW board.

LB, the 'sucker' posting was not mine, though I did now just post in response to 'Lost & Found' because I just couldn't resist the opportunity to converse with someone who actually agreed with me if only partially.
Ironic, though, since it is precisely because of the famous P.T. Barnum quotation that I chose the name to begin with (full quote: "There's a sucker born every minute and two to take him".)

Barnum, I partially agree with you - don't forget that.
Doesn't matter how much I loved most of the finale, it does not excuse the endless jerking around and overall cr@pfest that was most of Season 3.

Oh Monica, come on! I'm going to make it a personal mission to see that you aren't enveloped into the Barnum "sphere of influence". S3 after the Break (at least the last half of the seasone) was the most enlightening and was as edge of your seat interesting as anything I saw on Season 1! YES I SAID S-ONE! The Holy Grail of Lost Seasons!!!

Barnum, I dont even go there anymore. Eveyone I want to converse with is right here int he PH. I know what you mean, it is so irritating. I havent been cloned a lot but once is enough. It feels like identify theft.

It's official - Barnum is now my hatch-hubby.
Several episodes in season 3 were entertaining; however, only a small handful of episodes in Season 3 were entertaining and enlightening. With as many storylines, questions, and quirky bits of information this show has, you would think that they could jam pack EVERY episode with entertainment and answers... at least some. Sometimes Lost has been as bad as a freakin soap opera - dragging one story or question out way too long. It drives me crazy. I don't need instant gratification, but they are ridiculous.
I just don't like putting so much time and effort and thought into this show and getting nothing or seemingly very little in return for my devotion.

Subsitute "woman" for "show" in that sentence and you answer the age old question of why Greybishop is single...

Monica and Barnum Hatch Spouses!? Say it Aint So Joe! I feel like poor old Jack watching the Hydra video monitor of Sawyer and Kate's "Horizontal activities". I had hoped to get Monica back in the fold with good logical Pro-LOST arguments, but alas she has succumbed to the Dark Side....

Done.
I'll try to "archive" it WITH the smilies when I get home tonight. Netscape lets me do it that way, but I use IE at work...
Why, I don't know.

I stopped archiving back in November...

barnum (or anyone else),
should we do another round of intro's?
Dutch
May 25th, 2007 - 2:05 PM
Didn't we just do a round of intros about 4-6 weeks ago? I found out that Barnum was 43, lives in NJ, hates sports, is bald like John Locke and doesn't wash his socks! All contribute to his anti-social Hatch behavior

We also know Bishop is single owns a book store, sells copies of Bad Twin at bargain basement prices, lives in Ottawa and probably cheers for the Senators, so I take this opportunity to say LET'S GO DUCKS! Would like to see the Stanley Cup stay in the type of environs it has grown so accustomed to, I think if it gets back up to Canada it will start rusting and flaking!

Dutch -
Sorry dude, if it ain't baseball, I just don't care.
Particularly since the bar in ScotiaBank Place that I dj for after Sens games has gone to hiring bands for the playoffs.
And why are people playing hockey at the end of May?
Man, how I hate that sport. Who needs a reminder of winter in June?
Charlotte
May 25th, 2007 - 2:28 PM
Most of the pro sports seasons go on too long. Who needs pro basket ball in June either, or baseball when it's snowing. (OK, so the only thing I like about baseball is the "food of the inning" ritual, and, as a Kentuckian, I prefer college basketball.)
May 25th, 2007 - 2:41 PM
Hey, Dutch! Sawsee and I were rooting for the Ducks just so we could torment the Eastern Conference Senators with the "Time Zone Shuffle Hangover" that we Western teams are oh so familiar with....
Greybishop
May 25th, 2007 - 2:46 PM
The Senators are playing against "Ducks"?
And people wonder why I hate hockey.
Dutch
May 25th, 2007 - 4:50 PM
GB-You'd better be careful how talk about the National Sport of Canada, I hear they pull passports and throw citizens in the stockade for blasphemy such as you're writing!

I have another Canadian friend more blasphemous than you, he thought there were 4 periods in Hockey! You know there's only 3 right??

I won't argue with you though Winter sports wrapping up in July or Baseball winding up end of October/eary Nov. doesn't make sense to me. Why can't the LOST season run as long! We'd get 40 eps a season!
