I know there are a few folks out there who know their King Arthur.
Tell me that Desmond's "He said so in his speech" bit didn't scream Merlin who lives his entire life backwards through time and sometimes gets confused by the effect/cause vs cause/effect that he lives.
And that last shot of him with the beard looking out over the water? Cast that man in an Arthurian movie PRONTO!
"Time isn't what it appears" is how the producers put it in an interview. On Avalon in Arthurian/Celtic Legend, time "Isn't what it appears"...
A stretch? Maybe. But. Avalon is sealed away from the mortal plane while still physically existing, according to legend.
Island in a bottle anyone?
