Good Luck, Driveshaft!

If I remember correctly, you start your new job with Aetna on Monday. Good luck to you. Let us know how it goes.

While I have your attention, DS, there is a nice article in today's paper about Lindros. Go to DallasNews.com/sports/columnists/Gerry Fraley. He even makes a comparison to T.O. that you'll enjoy.....

You can keep up with Lindros on your own at the site mentioned above or at DallasStars.com if you want to. I don't want to keep taking up space on GB's Board talking about Hockey....

Re: Good Luck, Driveshaft!

Thanks, guys. I really appreciate the kind words. It's funny. I'm SO glad to be outta here, but after something's been part of your life for four years (even if you hate it), ya kinda...miss it.
On the other hand, I'm gonna have my nights free, I'll be making a LOT more money, and there's a certain freedom that comes with one's last days on the job (like, say, hitting on the coworker with the nice ass on your way out the door... ).
In any event, for at least the past year or so, I've been WAITING for this day! I am eager to start what I've heard will be a quite challenging new gig, and will keep in touch whenever possibe, esp. Wednesday nights.

Re: Good Luck, Driveshaft!

DS-what kind of job will you be doing with aetna? think it will be hard to get back on a "normal" sleeping schedule after 4 years of night auditing?

DS -
Best of luck on the new job. Sounds like everything is moving in a positive direction. In fact, the only way it could be more positive is if the coworker you were hitting on, on the way out the door, was positive too...

Re: Good Luck, Driveshaft!

Hey, all. Things are going pretty well. There's a LOT of stuff to learn (hence the 7 weeks of training), but I'm not really worried about that. It's all broken down nicely so you can build on what you already know, as I'm sure most jobs of this sort are (though this is apparently a fairly recent change. They used to have only a FOUR HOUR training class. Glad I didn't get hired THEN).
Beaner, in answer to your question, getting used to sleeping at night hasn't really been a problem. In fact, while I can sleep through **** near anything, It seems I sleep BETTER at night, cuz there are fewer distractions (phone calls, noisy kids, etc.). Although I learned the hard way that if I'm still gonna go out on Tuesdays, I'll have to cut back a bit on the drinking. I wasn't quite hung over, but I WAS tired as hell Wednesday.
In answer to your OTHER question, I'll be working in what's called Pharmacy Management. When members have issues with their drug coverage, or their doctor recommends a diff. dosage than what the FDA/drug company does, or being able to get a certain drug (either because we recommend they try another first, or it's not covered, like Viagra), they call us, and we help them figure out why they are having difficulty. We also get calls from pharmacies and doctors regarding patients' Rx coverage and stuff.
That's all for now. Y'all have a good night.
