Recommendations and Missed Opportunities 2: Recommend Harder Well, since the previous post for this turned into "How to Control Your Dreams and Avoid Sleep Eating/Stabbing Your Cat," I guess I'll start a new one here. I was given a copy of Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life," (which is also 30 years old, coincidentally enough) for my birthday, and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's simply brilliant. Also picked up a copy of "Beautiful Lie," the latest from 30 Seconds to Mars, the band fronted by Jared Leto. Don't let that scare you - this takes every terrible thing we've come to expect from actors who are wannabe musicians and obliterates it (in fact, they refuse to play gigs that promote the band based on Jared's acting). Very good stuff, there. Truly rocks. Let's see...you said video games, and as I said in an earlier post, "God of War," for PS2 is GREAT. Maybe one of the best games ever. That's all I can think of right now, who's next?

Re: Recommendations and Missed Opportunities 2: Recommend Harder I just learned that one of my all-time favorite TV programs is going to be rebroadcast on the ABC Family cable channel beginning October 2. I am about 95% certain that c4l and her daughter will love this program. Perhaps some others on this board will too."Everwood" ran on The WB for about 5 or 6 years. It had a loyal following but not that many people ever found the show so the rating weren't that great. It was one of the casualties of the merger with UPN and The WB. It's a serial drama about families with values dealing with life's complications. It doesn't moralize or preach. The teens are not spoiled, mouthy brats. It is well acted with interesting story lines and has very good character development. I truly learned to care about the people on this show. The WB was kind enough to wrap up the story lines in the series finale but I was still sad to see it go. Check it out.
