well, when i got to work this morning, it was quite clear there had been flooding as a result of Hurricane Ernesto. there was a lot of debris from the river around the steps leading up to our building, and across the street (where my parking garage is), there was a water line on the wall that was about a foot high (must've been from high tide last night as i don't think high tide has hit today yet). it has been raining all night and is still, so i would imagine there's more flooding to come. keeping an eye on the river so i can get my car out of the garage if need be. felt like a drowned duck coming in from my workout this morning...literally had to wring out all my clothes. felt like i was caught in one of those infamous deluges on Survivor! but, on the positive side, the grass is greening up nicely!
