| Greybishop Aug 30, 06 - 6:52 AM | It's always a rush to see your name in the paper... The three day novel contest was in the paper this Sunday past and so was yours truly... The article, in it's entirety is posted here... http://gbs3day.blogspot.com/ Whee! |
| LOSTbean Aug 30th, 2006 - 7:51 AM | again, i am asking for your autograph as i am most humbled to cyber-know such a talented person (and i promise not to sell it on ebay! |
| Greybishop Aug 30th, 2006 - 12:21 PM | LB - I'll make you (And all the regulars) a deal If I can manage to get published Deal? |
| Jess Aug 30th, 2006 - 1:41 PM | GB, that sounds like a great deal. Of course, no one is going to want to return anything you write. I really enjoy reading your stuff. When will we be able to read your 3-day book? Do you have to wait for the judges to make a final decision? Can you give us a chapter or two? Good luck this weekend. Why did I think it was last week? I have been somewhat...shall we say..."egocentric"...these past few weeks, getting ready for my new job as a teacher. Sorry I got your weekends confused. I'm certain you will do a terrific job. And even if you don't win the contest, at least you've got your novel written. You can still submit it to publishers if you don't win the contest, can't you? I, for one, can't wait to read it. Oh, and the other good news is that you got the work done in your den that you had wanted to do. See, it's all good! |
| Greybishop Aug 30th, 2006 - 2:11 PM | Jess - Thanks. I'm sure if I get published As to the contest, I retain all the rights to the book unless I agree to the pub contract they offer as first prize. I don't know the details about pre-publishing the thing, but if I make the short list, I'll ask. I'm not holding my breath. Once this weekend is done... |
| LOSTbean Aug 31st, 2006 - 7:35 AM | GB-even if you don't win this weekend (and i have NO earthly clue as to why you wouldn't!), maybe you can just print the document, autograph it, and send it to me (i'll send you $$$ for postage, of course, and paper, and toner, and... perhaps you should head out to subway today and get a few sandwiches to keep in the 'fridge, so they're there, waiting for you, should you get hungry. or, buy a package of cookies! |
